Pope John Paul II - our compatriot - is the patron of the
school. The tradition of our school included pilgrimages to
visit the Holy Father. The first pilgrimage in 1999. On the
right Head Mother of the Congregation of the Sisters of the
Presentation, Sister Donata Smoleń and the headmistress of
the school, Sister Anna Telus. |

The school in Rzeszow is coeducational. Altogether 738
students attend Gymnasium - lower secondary school (age
13-15) and Lyceum – upper secondary school (students at
the age of 16 –18). |

Our school takes part in the Socrates Comenius School
Projects. International co-operation between schools gives
pupils and teachers an opportunity to work together, enables
participants to exchange experiences, explore European
culture and increase their general knowledge. |

Education is the main priority at our school but our
students take a lot of pleasure in sport too. |

2004. Students of "Uncle's Friends" prayer group in the
Tatra mountains in the south of Poland. The young priest
Karol Wojtyla enjoyed hiking, skiing, backpacking, and
kayaking. Young people called him "an uncle". |
